My name is Trevor Pilgrim.  I am a retired Principal of The Lodge School, a secondary/high school in Barbados.  This school is more than 268 years old.  I have varied interests, including education, education reform, philosophy, spirituality, leadership, management, social commentary and self-actualization.  I was educated at The Combermere School, Barbados, The University of Nice, France ( UNS ), and The University of The West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Barbados.

The content expressed in my blog posts reflects common knowledge in educational circles, best practices, shared knowledge which can be found in various reviews of educational literature and issues, and my own experience and views as a veteran educator, supported by similar reports from colleagues.

    I’m glad you found my post on what teachers do during the summer months. I had a lot of fun writing it. I usually post one blog for teachers every Monday. However, my mother has been very, very ill this summer. I’m trying to get back on schedule.

    I’m going to look through your posts. It sounds like we share a passion for the profession of teaching.
